"Written to the Hebrews from Italy by Timothy" ?
At the very end of Hebrews we have:
I have always believed that Hebrews was written by Paul, so I was thinking that this last line might mean that it was transcribed by "Timothy."
BUT, "Timothy" seems to be absent as stated only two verses earlier in Hebrews 13:23:
Perhaps these are two different Timothy's?
Or, perhaps Hebrews 13:23 has a different meaning than the way I am seeing it?
Otherwise, I cannot as yet explain what is going on here.
Anyone have a take on this final line in Hebrews, and what it might mean?
Thanks in advance.
